Check out all these ways these can be used!

• Consider using this activity to practice “accountable talk” and having quality discussions. (Talk STEM slides included to help). Consider projecting or printing these and practicing!
• This is a great back-to-school activity—and a perfect chance to talk about respecting people’s strengths, opinions, and backgrounds. Make sure you work to establish that feeling of “safety” so all students feel good about sharing their ideas.
• Project one slide at a time and have “table talk” or small group discussions. Use all in one session or divide into several.
• Create a set of several slides. Use a timer and give each group a set amount of time to complete each task or discussion.
• Consider using the slides multiple times so students can get to know different groups of students.
• Print the cards like task cards. Make a set for each group to use. You can use a timer or let them work at their own pace.
• Send some or all of the cards digitally to small groups.
• Students can discuss verbally or can record their thinking on paper.
• Consider a class meeting after using the cards to talk about what students have learned and how it went.
